Challenge for "Just add Ink"

Hi there, this is my first time on this sites challenges. My daughter "Jess Doyle" is a regular & we both sat down & created our cards together this week. I hope you like my 1st attempt.

Less is More Challenge #2

Hey again, This is truely the simplest card I think I've made....lol. One piece of black card stock, 4 stickers from my "very large" collection of stickers & 2 white lines done with a white gel pen.... easy as!!!!
I'm putting this into "Less is More's" challenge as a second entry this week being a "sketch."

Less is More Challenge #1

Hi all, this is for the "Less is More" challenge this week. Sorry for the blurred shot, my camera doesn't like taking pictures at night... lol. Anyway, this is my take on the sketch, very simple.... 3 punched circles on a piece of card, hand wrote sentiment & used a fancy edged Fiskars cutting shape to do the scallop on top & under the circles which a stamped a little crown I found in my stamp stash.

L.I.M. Less Is More!!!

Hi Everyone,
I hope you have all had a wonderful week. Well I decided to use the initials of Less Is More & overlapped them to form a monogram, I drew & coloured it (freehand & rule) in "Basic Black" & "More Mustard". I think it has a similar look to wood-grain, what are your thoughts on this one? Oh & for a change I did the card in a square, not my usual rectangle shape.
I am showing you the single letters & then stacked on top of each other.... The coloured one is the card..lol

Stampin' Up! Craft get together.

Hi All,
Once a month or two, we have a group of friends come over & have a SU party, each time someone different hosts so I don't have to supply the food, etc. Anyway, this was my 1st time playing teacher for the day. I decided to let them all have quite a bit of freedom with colour, design, etc. The only requirement was for the 8x8 scrap book/freestanding picture was that & to pick colours that were in the photo they supplied... The theme being Big, Little or pets at play (I included pets as some of us our pets are our kids). As you can see there is a wide difference in these 8x8's.
The other project was to cover a small note pad & place a design to their own liking on the front, most of them added a pen holder loop that was glued with a hot glue gun (my job, so nobody would get burnt). I gave a couple of ideas I'd made up earlier as a guide... the brown paper bag was the popular choice I think.
I hope you enjoy browsing through all the works of art. So just so you know.... the rectangles are the note books & the squares are the 8x8 scrap book/picture (the 8x8's have a sitting picture rest that I copied from a commercial frame hot glue gunned to the back & a ribbon to hold in place) so you can sit them on a  shelf.

Stampin' Up! Forest Friends gives a "Who...t"

Hi all,
Yes I'm back again for a second try...lol. I love owls!!!! So I decided this little guy would make himself seen on one of my cards. I did all the other artwork around him.... looks a little child like when it came to drawing & colouring, but oh well I got him framed in the same way as the one below.
Have fun, Oh & if it's your birthday... I hope you have a good one!!

Stampin' Up! Autumn Days & Big Note makes Awesome Card!!

Hi All,
I decided I needed to use the bird stamp & foliage from this set together. I also decided it would look great with a frame of a difference around the outside, so used the "Big Note" that Stampin' Up! has in their range to go with the "Big Shot" (which I am having some real fun with, thanks to Jess). I used the big note inner on another item & used the leftover to sketch around with a SU marker onto the Yellow card.
I hope you all like the effect for a one layer card,I am entering this in "Less is More" this week, they have a challenge of 1 layer & in a frame.

Stampin' Up! French Foliage For a 50th men's card

Hi all, Today the 10th of June, 2011 is my dear husband's 50th birthday!!! So, because 50 is usually represented with gold, I decided to use gold  ink from Stanpin' Up & used all of the stamps in the French Foliage set. The 50th at  the top was hand done by me. You remember the sticky backed squares we used as kids, whether it was at school or at home? Well I used a piece of it to stick onto a torn/tattered looking yellow tissue paper. I was going to add some ribbon & then thought that would make it too girly.
I hope you  like it.... Peter  did...lol
